Monica Platt is an associate whose practice concentrates on a wide range of corporate matters including mergers & acquisitions, commercial lending and commercial real estate. Before joining Gutnicki LLP, Monica earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017 and her J.D. with a certificate in Business Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2021.

At Chicago-Kent, Monica was on the Dean’s List and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for the highest grade in Property Law. Monica broadened her legal experience working in commercial law firms in Chicago, as well as for a legal research company and a financial institution’s in-house legal department.
